Job Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Principal Product Manager to lead the design, strategy, and execution of core product offerings in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lending and Debt Financing. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, delivering technology-forward solutions, and establishing a market-leading position in the CRE debt financing ecosystem.

As a senior leader, you will define product vision, build strategies, and execute on roadmaps that simplify the complexities of CRE lending and debt financing, ensuring a seamless experience for lenders, borrowers, and brokers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and capital markets, to create products that drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Vision
  • Develop and own the product vision and strategy for CRE lending and debt financing solutions, aligning with organizational goals and evolving market trends.
  • Analyze industry challenges, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities within the debt financing lifecycle, including underwriting, loan syndication, securitization, and servicing.
  • Build innovative strategies that position the company as a leader in CRE financing technology.

Core Product Management
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including conceptualization, design, development, go-to-market, and continuous optimization.
  • Prioritize features and functionalities that address critical challenges in lending and debt financing workflows, such as risk assessment, portfolio management, and deal structuring.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure product performance, ensuring continual improvement and alignment with business goals.

Debt Financing Solutions
  • Lead the development of tools and platforms to streamline debt financing processes, including debt sourcing, structuring, and execution.
  • Create solutions that enhance transparency, collaboration, and decision-making for lenders, borrowers, and investors.
  • Leverage technology to address complexities in loan syndication, secondary market trading, and credit risk management.
  • Design and User Experience
  • Collaborate with design teams to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces tailored for CRE professionals.
  • Develop customer personas and journey maps to understand user needs and simplify financing workflows.
  • Advocate for a user-centric approach in all product development efforts.

Collaboration and Leadership
  • Act as the primary product leader for all lending and debt financing initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams on priorities and deliverables.
  • Partner with stakeholders in sales, marketing, operations, and capital markets to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
  • Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Qualifications:

Experience and Domain Expertise
  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in commercial lending, debt financing, real estate, or fintech.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the lending and debt financing ecosystem, including loan origination, underwriting, securitization, and servicing.
  • Technical and Strategic Skills
  • Technology: Proficiency with data platforms , and advanced analytics or AI-driven solutions for risk and debt structuring.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver innovative solutions in highly regulated industries.
  • Strategy: Track record of crafting long-term product visions that align with market trends and customer needs.
  • Design Thinking: Strong grasp of user experience principles and ability to integrate design seamlessly into product development.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in leveraging data to inform strategies and improve product outcomes.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with prop-tech or fintech platforms focused on lending and capital markets.
  • Knowledge of debt structuring, loan syndication, and secondary market transactions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in CRE lending and debt financing.
  • MBA or advanced degree in finance, real estate, or related fields.
