On Line Design, Inc. is assisting our client to find a skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in a manufacturing facility. The Process Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance productivity and reduce waste. This is an on-site position based in Hebron, KY location. This is a first-shift position. Must be U.S. Authorized. Local Candidates will only be considered at this time.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in manufacturing processes and develop corrective actions.
Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.
Handle complex problem resolution involving multiple processes and formulas
Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you'll provide technical support and leadership at the manufacturing facility including formula and process improvements, scale-up of new products and processes, product transfers, material and product quality issues, obsolescence and technical troubleshooting
Lead and monitor scale-up and first time production to ensure product can be timely produced
Propose and implement process and formula revisions to improve as applicable
Technical Process Improvement and Engineering:
Identify, define, justify, and implement process and formula improvements to improve site performance (quality, cost reduction, yield, safety)
Provide site process engineering support
Maintain P&ID's, PFD's, operational parameters
Oversee startup of new equipment / processes
Lead site improvement projects such as product transfers, quality improvement projects, yield improvement projects, cost reduction, and capacity improvement projects
Qualifications
5-10 Years Engineering Experience hands on manufacturing facility
B.S in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
Have an understanding of accounting, financial, and MRP systems
Proven experience in a manufacturing facility, with hands-on knowledge of CNC operations.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Familiarity with robotics applications in manufacturing environments.
Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies is highly desirable.
