Position Summary:
The Product Owner is responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and assessing work for a scrum team. They incorporate feature requests, groom and prioritize backlog, and develop user stories and acceptance criteria based on the roadmap. The Product Owner plans releases, follows progress, and analyzes end user preferences. This position is the main liaison between engineering, product management, and the business lines.
This position will work closely with the engineering team, other Product Owners, PMs, and business lines to gather requirements, ensure the right problem is solved, prioritize the backlog, and own the delivery communication.
Responsibilities:
Lead, inspire, and support your cross-functional, agile team to deliver internal and external value.
Communicate the vision, plans, objectives, and progress to both your team and internal stakeholders.
Prioritize and sequence the product backlog to provide the most value and organizational impact.
Collaborate with the PM and leadership sponsors to develop scopes of work and create user stories that solve a long-term need.
Hold true to Jira standards, with diligence to fill out the full detail, mocks when needed, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and testing scenarios.
Facilitate understanding of limits or risks of certain approaches, provide sophisticated but simple read-outs to the PM and leadership.
"MVP" oriented solutions to complex problems.
Partner with Engineering Lead and own portions of the Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as grooming and planning while being an active attendee of all others.
Deliver verbal and written project-centric feedback to team members, celebrating successes and calling out risks when needed.
Identifying any misalignments with expectations and consistently provide visibility.
Provide detailed tickets, requirements, acceptance criteria, and when needed mocks of the expected outcome for the request to Engineering.
Ability to clearly articulate the "why" behind requests to ensure complete alignment across the organization.
Build partnerships across the Product and Engineering organizations and manage cross-product dependencies.
Work closely with engineering, design, project, product marketing, architecture, analysts, sales, legal, risk, finance, account management, and support to gather feedback, requirements, and alignment or sign-off.

Experience with leading and partnering with Engineering teams and solving complex software engineering technical challenges is a plus
Experience building, operating, and deploying highly scalable web/mobile applications is a plus
