FilmRise, an industry-leading streaming company, is looking to hire a talented video editor to join our team. The person in this role will beresponsible for producing and repackaging digital-first clips from their native format into broadcast-ready episodes. Will also handle key aspects of asset delivery such as creating series metadata, building graphic packages, coordinating artwork with internal/external teams, and ensuring content delivery to the Tech team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Importing clips into Adobe Premiere Pro and cutting/assembling clips into episodes, utilizing graphics packages (intros, interstitials).
Working on motion design projects (graphics packages entailing intro and interstitial).
Creating and delivering metadata for the season(s) at hand.
Conducting quality checks on the season(s) ahead of technical delivery to ensure content is up to FilmRise standards.
Conducting quality checks on other editor's season(s) ahead of technical delivery.
Interfacing with internal teams for other aspects of content delivery, including the Art and Tech team.
Creating Sizzle Reels for new Creator titles used by Sales and Marketing.
Assisting the Marketing team with editing promotional content in a timely manner on an as-needed basis.
Conducting quality checks on incoming assets from Creators.
Ingesting inbound content and materials, updating and maintaining multiple delivery and asset tracking logs.
Contributing to weekly meetings/updating larger teams during calls.
Responsible for taking notes and sending out post-meeting recaps when needed.
Upkeeping multiple records and databases on a daily basis.
Programming clips into episodes for each season of a title.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced experience and comfortability working independently in the following software:
Adobe Creative Cloud: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder
Microsoft: Outlook, Teams, Excel
Airtable
Extreme attention to detail, ability to adhere to granular specifications required for content delivery
Finger on the pulse of internet culture and YouTube trends
Ability to interface and coordinate with other teams
Ability to work independently
Nice to haves: Experience writing captivating copy that can be used for metadata and an interest in the creator economy!
