At Burke Construction Group, we pride ourselves on continuous evolution. We're searching for a highly-skilled project superintendent to contribute to Burke's growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. You will be the onsite leader of the construction process. You will be responsible for safety enforcement and best practices. Your leadership will include acting as the liaison among all trades. You will work with your team to establish the construction schedule and facilitate the delivery of established milestones. You must be willing to work throughout the United States.
Objectives of this Role • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation • To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project team members • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and sub-tiers
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities • Lead / manage project team through all phases of the project. • Maintain open and proactive communication with the project team and subcontractors • Assist the Project Manager by managing the project through completion. • Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues. • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including daily reports, notices, meeting minutes RFI's, and schedule. • Schedule, plan, and facilitate job start up safety meetings to reinforce project expectations. • Read, understand, and plan according to the work specification and contract responsibilities. • Work with project teams to ensure proper record keeping and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support the overall program initiatives. • Identifies required resources to achieve project goals. • Supports and provides input to development strategies, goals, and objectives specific to project execution at each project phase. • Assesses any potential job cost impacts • Ensures that all material and equipment are purchased in a timely and cost-effective manner. • Monitors progress towards goals to anticipate potential problems. • Delivers accurate and timely data to support project forecasts. • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed-escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
Skills and Qualifications • High School Diploma • 5-10 years of experience in the residential industry • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines • Willingness to travel • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Must be organized • OHSA 30 preferred • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite of products, P6
