Worldwide Logistics, Inc., is looking for an Inventory Control Supervisor to maximize the performance of the site by directing the activities of the inventory team. We are seeking someone to provide leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements and operational performance.
• Executing customer/vendor contract requirements and identifies accessorial activity and ensures necessary documentation • Utilizing the site inventory management system to ensure:
Management of cycle counting/adjustment/rotation programs
Productivity and space utilization (efficient product placement, etc.)
Managing inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
Evaluating deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
Analyzing daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
Managing schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
Communicating with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
Proposing strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Monitoring demand and analyzing data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
Managing the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
Leading team to perform periodic cycle counts and end year physical count
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Be compliant of KPI accuracy rate of counts and stocked locations
Associate:
Deliver a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associates
Providing for associate performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate
Ensuring compliance to the routines outlined in the site interaction matrix and standard operating procedures
Ensuring company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced (i.e., accounting, operational, safety, regulatory, and administrative)
Ensuring the associates have the proper access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned duties and that the tools are routinely maintained
Processes
Coordinating the collection of performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and WWL (balanced scorecard) contractual requirements.
Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
Experience conducting tracking and data analysis
At least 5 years experience as an Inventory Supervisor
Bachelor's or associate's degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar experience
Product and inventory management certification a plus
