Job Summary
Eagle Creek is seeking an experienced and driven Ecommerce Director to lead our online retail strategy-this person will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our DTC sales and our multi-channel strategy. While we want our consumers to have a positive brand experience regardless of the touchpoint, the Ecommerce Director will be tasked with ensuring that the DTC sales channel consistently leads as our flagship brand experience.
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ecommerce operations, ensuring robust and sustainable growth, and enhancing the digital customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a data-driven mindset. This candidate excels in fast-paced environments and is able to adapt to addressing shifting priorities as they may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution: • Leverage analytics to drive revenue growth, profitability growth, and optimize overall business performance. • Measure success in terms of profitable revenue growth, new customer acquisition growth, and increasing customer lifetime value. • Develop and implement a comprehensive Ecommerce strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and commitment to sustainable growth and long-term business health. We believe in a healthy commercial ecosystem and want to serve the customer where and how they want to shop. • Be a brand-driven leader-- the Ecommerce director will be asked to manage the customer and commercial ecosystem , ensuring consumer satisfaction, commercial balance and an overall smart channel strategy. • User Experience (UX): Oversee the design and functionality of the ecommerce site, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and intuitive experience that promotes customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Data Analysis & Optimization: Utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics, optimize conversion rates, and implement continuous improvements to website performance and marketing effectiveness .
Digital Marketing: Collaborate with marketing team to develop and execute SEO/SEM. Align with marketing team on email marketing, social media, and content strategies that drive traffic and conversion.
Product Management: Work closely with product team to manage online product catalogs, descriptions, images, and availability, ensuring an accurate and appealing presentation. Provide regular reporting to help shape future product strategy.
Supply Chain & Logistics: Coordinate with operations team to optimize inventory management, fulfillment, and shipping processes, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the ecommerce team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Build a great partnership with the marketing team to make sure our website is the best possible representation of the Eagle Creek brand.
Budget Management: Manage the ecommerce budget, making data-driven decisions to allocate resources effectively and achieve financial targets.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in ecommerce, with 5+ years of ecommerce leadership and/or P&L responsibility. A proven track record of driving growth and managing successful digital sales channels.
Strong understanding of Shopify and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Demonstrated success in developing or collaborating on strategic marketing campaigns.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
A passion for sustainability and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed business decisions.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
