Who will you be working with?
You will interact with team members at all levels and across all functions of the organization. You will bridge the gap between people and processes by using data and information to develop understanding.
How will you make a difference?
The Quality Analyst crosses into many fields such as quality engineering, metallurgy, forensic failure analysis and process improvement/development to help solve the businesses most challenging problems and improve performance. Critical data is provided to customers internal and external to the local site in Salem. Reports for direct customer inquiries and metrics, various remote customer service and sales staff, internal data to improve quality and financial performance are all driven by the Quality Analyst.
What do we want to know about you?
Do you have a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field?
Do you have 5-10-plus years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment to include 4-years in quality or related fields (finance, process engineering, quality engineering, line supervision)?
Are you skilled in data analysis using spreadsheet software?
Do you have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the business appropriately and professionally?
Do you have the ability to communicate effectively with customers, both foreign and domestic?
Do you have the ability to represent the company in a way that fits the reputation of the business?
Do you have knowledge of reliability, process control and capability analysis statistics?
What will your typical day look like?
Data Mining from various business systems, analysis of data, formulating new/creative ways to present the insights obtained from data to drive improvements in the business.
Keeping stakeholders of the business -both internal and external- informed by generating specific required reports.
Forensic failure analysis of the complex products that the company produces and implementation of containment, corrective and preventative actions.
Ownership of specific business unit KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
It is expected that the Analyst be a Lean leader in the business by participating and potentially leading lean improvement events (Kaizen, 5s and Projects)
Interaction with customers to explain specific high complexity issues through customer portals, remote meetings, and face to face meetings.
The Quality Analyst will serve as backup to the Quality Manager and assist in multiple person audits of the facility by compliance auditors and customers.
You will be required to read, understand, and implement clauses of various industry and international standards. Specifically, the site is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003. We utilize various other standards: ASME, ANSI, IPC, AWS, ISO, and MIL
Some travel will be required on occasion for this position.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
