Position Overview:
The Chief of Staff (COS) will serve as a trusted strategic partner and to the Executive Director and expert problem solver. This role requires experience delivering strong analysis and execution on a variety of strategic projects, managing complex priorities, delivering effective communication, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The candidate will be successful if they are action oriented and results driven.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support: Advise leadership on key initiatives, help define organizational goals, and ensure alignment across teams. Assist with growing the organization, from a personnel, financial, and programming standpoint.
Special Projects: Lead cross-departmental initiatives and strategic projects. Assist with unique challenges that may arise with a complex remediation and restoration project.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Provide insights through data analysis, identify and create performance dashboards and reports, and communicate findings to a variety of audiences.
Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements, facilitate cross-functional coordination, prioritize initiatives, and deliver results based outcomes.
Executive Support: Manage leadership agenda, prepare meeting materials, serve as liaison with stakeholders, and provide strategic advice related to partnerships.
Internal Communications: Ensure effective information flow across the organization, organize leadership meetings, and work with teams to deliver positive outcomes.
Network Development: Represent the organization at public events, give tours of the plant to a variety of constituents, and build relationships with government and community leaders.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or related field
Experience managing complex projects in fast-paced environments
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - experience at a leading strategy consulting firm a major plus!
Exceptional communicator with strong relationship-building skills
Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt quickly
Track record of cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
