An international machine parts manufacturing company is currently searching for a motivated Human Resources Generalist to support their office in the Upper Sandusky , OH area. The ideal candidate has previous Human Resources experience in an industrial environment, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities Include:
Conduct new hire onboarding and orientations for multiple facilities, including providing information on company policies and benefits
Support expatriate employees from Japan, and ensure a smooth transition for new expat employees by assisting with travel scheduling, obtaining US work authorization and driver's licenses, etc.
Translation and interpretation services to new and current expatriate employees as needed
Provide administration support to the HR department at large, and specific support for executive management
Schedule travel, appointments, and meetings for executive managers and external visitors, and track / submit expense reports and consistently maintain calendars
Assist with analysis of department functions and participate in improvement initiatives
Other duties as assigned
Human Resources Generalist Requirements Include:
Bachelor's degree in a Business or Human Resources-related field required
Minimum 2-3 years' work experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in human resources, preferably within the manufacturing industry
Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
