Job Description:
The Vice President of Development will be based out of a Manhattan office and will report to the Chief Development & Marketing Officer.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee grant writing, event fundraising, foundation relations, individual giving, in-kind giving, and volunteer engagement.
- Focus on donor cultivation while also managing brand partnerships.
- Supervise the Development team and ensure that team members are coached and developed.
- Provide oversight of the CRM system and ensures that the CRM is maintained and optimized to support the team's effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Minimum of ten years in an institutional fundraising role, and experience with the New York fundraising landscape.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Passion for company mission and core values.
- Strong experience successfully prospecting, engaging, cultivating, and closing gifts from foundations and corporations.
