Rate Range: $80/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Required
5+ years' experience in the development, programing, test, and commissioning of power converter controls electronics with a primary focus in controls applied to electric machines (range of 10kw to 2MW)
BSEE or MSEE
Experience in the development and/or test of software intensive control systems.
Very strong knowledge and experience of real time control and implementation in C / C++
Strong knowledge and experience with PLECs modeling and simulation
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
Desired
In-depth knowledge of electrical machines including electromagnetic, thermal as well as mechanical technology aspects.
US person or citizen
Experience in Automotive Hybrid Electrical or Aerospace Systems.
Technical creativity and business acumen
Ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a global team.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Determine electrical machine (generators, motors, power delivery, and accessories') requirements by studying system and customer requirements.
Proven leadership, coaching and teamwork skills
