An established law firm in New York, NY is seeking a Partner to join its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Securities Practice Group, specializing in private equity transactions. This role involves representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies across a range of legal matters.
Responsibilities include:
Handling mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
Preparing and reviewing share and asset purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, and board resolutions.
Managing complex legal transactions involving multi-party representation and negotiated terms.
Advising corporate clients on applicable laws and regulations related to corporate governance and regulatory compliance in business transactions.
Requirements:
J.D. or foreign equivalent.
A minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience at an international law firm in M&A and private equity transactions.
Compensation:
$800,000 to $1,500,000 per year.
35 hours/week.
