We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Machinist Superintendent with at least 10 years of heavy industry shipyard/marine experience and extensive knowledge of ship repair processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise machinists/mechanics in ship repair and fabrication.
Ensure safety, quality, schedules, and budgets are met.
Oversee repair of mechanical components, CNC machining, and shipboard equipment maintenance.
Manage workforce planning, team training, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with project managers to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
High school diploma (Associates in Industrial Trades preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and reading blueprints.
US citizenship required (security clearance needed).
Ability to obtain TWIC and DBIDS credentials.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Work Environment:
Outdoor and confined space work required.
Physical demands include climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 55 lbs.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in shipyard heavy industry.
Knowledge of NAVSEA regulations and federal contract management.
