General Description:

The Program Coordinator position requires an extremely creative, organized and high energy individual who will manage multiple facets of Rainbows for All Children's programming efforts. They will understand the non-profit landscape in the greater Chicago area, as well as our global community, and be able to use this knowledge to build, maintain and grow program delivery across diverse communities. The successful candidate will be energetic, innovative, and a comprehensive, strategic thinker with a "problem solving" attitude who will passionately promote Rainbows' mission and values.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all of Rainbows' programming components, including but not limited to volunteer training and structure for six levels of Rainbows, as well as Silver Linings, Kaleidoscope and Prism. All programs will be periodically reviewed for best practices, integrating evaluation data, and updated accordingly.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Creation/Updating of Rainbows Program Content
  • Responsible for evaluations of program at all levels
  • Responsible for certifications, CEU and SEL status, accreditations
  • Oversees all aspects and details of Rainbows Children and Teens Speak program
  • Periodically review the "Learn Rainbows" site to ensure incorporation of annual evaluation data and relevant, current research
  • Manage program interns
  • Researching a new training platform and converting the online training.
  • Maintain all resources and materials
  • Create content i.e. newsletters, webinars, articles, knowledge center
  • Participate as needed in Rainbows for All Children's advocacy and support services

Support to Agency Mission and Philosophy:
  • Contribute to the agency's strategic thinking and planning.
  • Provide telephone and or in-person crisis intervention in cooperation with other staff.
  • Assist the agency in implementing a diversity strategy that embraces all individuals and ensures that agency services are accessible to all clients, regardless of gender, race, language, ability, sexual orientation, religion, age or socio-economic background.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • With the entire staff, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for quality service delivery throughout the agency.They will demonstrate a commitment to the mission and philosophy of Rainbows.
  • Contribute to Rainbows culture of respect, collaboration, openness, safety and equality

Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate will have one of the following: LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC.
  • Experience in a non-profit environment.
  • Experience with data/survey analysis.
  • High proficiency at Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English; strong candidates will have
  • additional languages skills that correspond to communities we wish to work with in the future.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Experience managing larger projects that span multiple months.
  • Knowledge of and experience with peer support group models.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Energetic, team oriented and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and growing environment.
  • Time flexibility for evening or weekend work.
  • Ability to accept, understand and relate sensitively to people of varied socio-economic, racial, cultural and experiential backgrounds.
  • Rainbows employees must, at all times, maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works collaboratively with donors, clients, volunteers, co-workers, and supervisors.

Compensation:

This position is full-time. Compensation range in the $50-$55,000 range, depending on experience and licensure. Health benefits may be available for employee. Generous time off package.

Rainbows provides an open, welcoming office space at 614 Dempster Street. There are stairs to the office.
