Full time salaried opportunity for an experienced leader in Identity and Access Management.
This role is 100% onsite in the Minneapolis area, therefore seeking candidates local to Twin Cities. Client has work authorization status requirements of US Citizen or GC holder.
What you'll do: Oversee the systems and process that manage user identities, access rights, and authentication within the organization. Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive Identity Management strategy that ensures compliance with global regulatory standards, managing access controls and preventing unauthorized access across the enterprise.
Develop and implement a comprehensive IAM strategy aligned with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements
Lead and manage the IAM team, providing direction, coaching, and professional development.
Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate IAM practices into broader cybersecurity and IT strategies.
Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IAM systems and solutions, including identity governance, authentication, authorization, and privileged access management.
Ensure that IAM processes support business needs while maintaining security, compliance, and user experience. Develop and maintain IAM policies, standards, and procedures.
Identify and mitigate IAM-related risks, ensuring that security controls are effectively implemented and maintained.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and NIST.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of IAM processes and systems.
Evaluate and recommend IAM technologies and tools to enhance security and efficiency.
Lead initiatives to automate IAM processes, reduce manual interventions, and improve overall system performance.
Serve as the subject matter expert on IAM, providing guidance and support for related projects and initiatives.
Lead, mentor, manage, and staff an IAM team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
?8+ years of experience in information security, with experience in a leadership role focusing on IAM.
Previous experience in managing and implementing IAM solutions in a large and complex organization
Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, GDPR, and industry-specific standards (e.g., IEC 62443 for industrial control systems).
Strong understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices.
Proficiency in IAM tools and technologies, such as Entra ID, AD, LDAP, SSO, MFA, PAM, and identity governance platforms.
