Service Leader - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) | Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital
Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital is seeking a dedicated Service Leader to oversee the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This key leadership role is responsible for managing daily operations, guiding staff, driving performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, overseeing budgetary needs, and achieving exceptional quality outcomes. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement and evaluate departmental policies to ensure patient care needs are met and individualized services provided.
Manage resources and budgets, taking corrective action for variances and implementing cost-saving measures.
Lead by example, motivate staff, recognize contributions, and prepare candidates for succession opportunities.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, prioritize tasks, solve problems, and drive innovation to improve performance.
Communicate clearly, set expectations, provide feedback, and foster collaboration across departments.
Location:
Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital - 933 E Pierce Street, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, Days.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in area(s) of expertise; healthcare experience preferred.
Valid RN license, compact multistate license, or temporary permit required.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS preferred at hire, required within three months.
Core certification related to specialty preferred within one year of eligibility.
