Universal IT is looking for motivated, detail oriented, and customer centric individuals for a Network Security position. The Security Analyst will oversee security technologies, conduct risk assessments, troubleshoot security devices, and develop policies, with a focus on Zero Trust Network Access. Responsibilities include monitoring for intrusions, responding to breaches, and developing security policies.
Responsibilities:
Identify advanced network security technologies, assist in the architecting of solutions and manage the product lifecycle
Performing routine risk assessments to identify potential security weaknesses in the corporate network
Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network security devices such as IDS/IPS, NAC, VPN and implementing strong segmentation working towards ZTNA
Function as the central point of contact and expertise on the Security Team for implementation and support of network security related hardware and software.
Monitoring network activity for signs of intrusion or compromise, such as unusual amounts of traffic or requests for unauthorized access privileges
Conducting vulnerability assessments to identify security risks and suggest solutions to mitigate them
Designing and implementing network security policies and procedures to protect computer networks from potential attacks
Responding to security breaches by identifying the source of the breach and taking steps to prevent similar breaches from occurring in the future
Documentation and Auditing of policies, rules, configurations
Requirements:
Enterprise Firewall Experience: 3+ years of experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls, Cisco ASA/Firepower.
Enterprise Remote Access: 3+ years of experience configuring and managing enterprise level remote access appliances, AnyConnect.
Routing and Switching Experience: 1+ years of experience configuring and managing Cisco routers and switches.
Enterprise Access Control System: 1+ year experience configuring and managing access control system, Cisco ACS/ISE.
Cisco Security certification: CCNP Security or Cisco Certified Specialist, is highly desired.
Communication skills: It's crucial that Network Security Analysts have the ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management clearly and effectively
Team working skills: Network Security Analyst typically work as a member of several teams, which requires flexibility and adaptability.
Problem-solving skills: It's the Network Security Analyst's job to solve problems. Security incidents can happen at any time and it's expected that these engineers will research, escalate, and resolve issues effectively
On-call rotation: Able to participate in 24/7 on-call system support rotation.
