About the Job
This is a direct-hire opportunity for an experienced Procurement manger with experience in a manufacturing setting ( ideally metal) to oversee the efficient flow of materials in and out of their manufacturing plant. You will lead a team of 3 and be responsible for procurement, inventory control, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor a team of buyers and planners.
Oversee the procurement of raw materials, with a focus on metal manufacturing for valve production.
Negotiate with domestic and international vendors to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, quality assurance, engineering) to ensure smooth operations.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in materials management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in procuring raw materials for metal manufacturing.
Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Experience with ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
