About the position:
In preparation for major business enhancing efforts, ING is seeking a professional to support our Tech department in ensuring compliance with Federal Reserve and NYSDFS regulatory requirements by aligning our processes and procedures with the IT Handbooks provided by the FFIEC. This role will involve performing gap analyses, developing remediation plans, and collaborating with both local and global Tech SMEs, Process & Product SMEs, and stakeholders to validate and improve existing processes. The role will be part of the ING Americas CIO office and will report directly to the Americas Tech Program Lead for Commercial Banking.

ING Americas CIO Office is an organization which executes strategic plans to align all technology teams with ING's overall strategy and with the local business and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Perform a comprehensive gap analysis against the FFIEC handbook requirements and existing Tech processes and procedures.
Identify gaps and develop remediation plans, prioritizing items based on regulatory importance.
Collaborate with local and global Tech SMEs to validate existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
Document and track remediation plans, ensuring timely completion of high-priority items.
Work across operations, finance, and other support and control functions to ensure comprehensive compliance.
Interface with global head office systems SMEs to ensure compliance across all systems, both local and global.
Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of compliance efforts.
Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory expectations and ING's standards.
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Approximately 3 years of experience in project management within the financial services industry.
Experience working on regulatory-related projects is preferred.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and a compliance mindset.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed gap analyses.
Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and track remediation plans.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and able to proactively engage with SMEs and stakeholders.
Strong organizational and tracking skills.
Preferred:
Experience working in a regulatory environment.
Knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
Familiarity with ING's global network and systems.
Hourly Rate: $45 -$65/hr
