We are searching for a CLO Associate for a fulltime employee role for our client in midtown Manhattan (10022). Our client is a forward-thinking financial firm specializing in structured credit products, including Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). Knowledge of CLOs, fixed income, structure credit and debt products, along with strong Excel and data skills are required.
As a CLO Associate, you will join a dynamic front-office team managing structured credit portfolios. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in middle or back-office functions, accounting, or operations who are eager to transition into front-office responsibilities. Assist in managing CLO portfolios, analyzing loan performance, and monitoring compliance with deal covenants and regulatory requirements.
Conduct research and analysis of fixed-income and structured credit products, including securitizations and CLO assets.
Support portfolio managers with data aggregation, financial modeling, and evaluation of trading strategies.
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills for portfolio analytics, including vlookups, sumproduct, IRR calculations, and building or modifying financial models.
Transfer and visually represent financial data in Microsoft PowerPoint, creating polished presentations for executive and client-facing meetings.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, presenting findings and updates clearly and confidently in group settings.
Support the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for investment committees, trustees, and other stakeholders.
Current experience in or adjacent to CLO operations, middle office, back office, or accounting, with a strong desire to transition into front-office roles.
A foundational understanding of finance and capital markets, particularly fixed-income and debt products.
Skills and Requirements:
Strong knowledge of structured credit products, securitizations, and CLOs.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including formula shortcuts, financial modeling, and analytics.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for professional, data-driven presentations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with comfort speaking in group settings.
Flexibility to work in-office for the first 6 months, with the possibility of remote options thereafter.
A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning complex financial products and front-office strategies.
