Repair or replace defective components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts, to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in refrigeration units and related components. Use specialized tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, multimeters, and refrigerant recovery machines, to perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Follow safety protocols and regulations while working with refrigerants and electrical systems. Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory. Provide recommendations to customers regarding the repair and maintenance of vehicle refrigeration systems. Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to auto refrigeration systems. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational or technical training in automotive refrigeration systems is preferred. Proven experience as an auto refrigeration technician or a similar role. Strong knowledge of automotive refrigeration systems, including understanding of refrigerant types, system components, and troubleshooting techniques. Working on diesel truck preferred, not required Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in completing repairs and maintenance tasks. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts (up to 50 pounds). Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments (e.g., garage, outdoor repair area).
