Position Description: The administrative assistant performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties for the Habitat for Humanity of Michigan staff to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization while facilitating excellent customer service internal and external to the organization. Job Summary: Support HFHM administrative staff with various office duties, project support to all team members, assist with the planning of board and committee meetings, and be responsible for general reception. Job Duties:Provide customer service to the public and affiliate networkProvide general administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team as neededCoordinate the organization, planning, and execution of the annual Affiliates in Motion Conference and the HOMES Construction SummitMaintain records for the board, including member terms, schedule meetings, and take meeting minutesCompile materials and schedule meetings for the Affiliate Support Organization (ASO) Board Committees, Topic Council Meetings, and AIM/HOMES planning committee meetings; taking notes as necessaryMaintain and organize the ASO calendarPerform general administrative duties, including ordering office supplies, assist with program mailings, and other projects as neededWork with Human Resources to facilitate staff communicationsAssist the Chief Programs Officer in compiling data for grant reportingOther projects as assigned based upon skill set and interests of employeeEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma required; two or four-year degree preferred2+ years of experience in customer service and basic office managementProven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant, or office admin assistantKnowledge of office management systems and proceduresStrong organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to think criticallyAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, and external partners.Knowledge and Skill RequirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with special attention to detailAble to manage and prioritize multiple projects at onceCapable of working well independently and also as a member of the HFHM team; able to adapt and be flexibleAbility to work remotely as well as from the office in Lansing as neededEvent/conference planning experience a plus recblid dandf9337dskhmqjyltwu2gd24oa8f
