Job Description:

Our client is seeking a passionate and innovative Sr. Java Developer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical skills and creativity to deliver high-performing solutions for a top-tier e-commerce platform and a rapidly expanding online advertising platform.

As a Sr. Java Developer, you will be part of the client's Advertising Engineering team, responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions with a focus on scalability. You will also enhance core tools to support development, testing, and integrations leading to Continuous Delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable technical solutions
- Enhance core tools to support development, testing, and integrations
- Articulate engineering designs based on product requirements

Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-7 years of software development experience
- At least 4 years of development experience using an object-oriented language
- At least 3 years of microservices development, ideally using Java Spring Boot
- Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and running containerized applications
- Proficiency in SQL, preferably the Postgresql dialect
- Familiarity with Liquibase or similar database migration tool
- Experience writing unit tests and functional tests using JUnit
- Proficiency with Object Oriented Design principles and patterns
- Solid technical communication skills with business partners and other engineering teams
- Experience using distributed version control systems, such as Git
- Experience with bug tracking software such as Jira
- Proficiency in bash and comfortable working in a terminal
- Exposure to modern web technologies like React

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Node/Express
- Familiarity with React or modern web frameworks
- Experience with Git/GitHub Actions

In this role, you will be working on the back-end services that support the client's advertising website, focusing on new feature development, integrations with external systems, and performance optimization. The successful candidate will be part of a team that builds solutions for marketing and advertising, making a significant impact in the online advertising space.
