Overview
The Finance Sales Specialist grows the usage of finance products and portfolio balances in a given geographic area within the United States, in order to support growth of equipment sales. Working alongside equipment sales personnel, distributors and end customers to arrange and structure financing of equipment and/or investments across multiple Alliance brands. The position has responsibility for achieving goals related to the scope and scale of the business opportunity, and breadth of brand/product lines/finance tools for which the Finance Sales Manager has responsibility.
Responsibilities
Develop tailored financial solutions with the objective to meet customers' long and short-term goals.
Work close with marketing/sales department to provide quarterly finance promotions as a sales tool to distribution
Follow up on leads “large value opportunities” to generate loan applications to achieve investor pre-qualification status and to drive equipment sales
Facilitate financial packages from investors in accordance with KPI’s to achieve approvals and shipment of equipment
Oversee the loan production pipeline to assigned territory to drive equipment sales to a targeted finance to sales percentage
Responsible for attending assigned territory distributor trade shows or quarterly visits as needed to assist sales team
Work closely with the underwriter/Manager to move deals through the pipeline as expeditiously as possible
Work with distributors/equipment sales personnel/end customers to support Alliance sales objectives with financing solutions/tools
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders, internally and externally, in the assigned territory area
Solicit sustainable commitment of distributors to maximize the use of financing as a marketing tool to sell complete solutions
Provide a point of contact, follow-up service and ongoing training to distributors and equipment sales colleagues in the assigned territory/distributor to increase knowledge, acceptance and usage of financing as a tool to close the deal
Inform and train distributors and equipment sales colleagues on new marketing approaches and finance programs
Administer exception requests from distributors or equipment sales colleagues and works to resolve service and performance issues with distributors and end customers through positive working relationship with office staff and finance management.
Voice market/competitor/customer concerns to Financial Services management and actively participates in generating change to overcome them.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field highly preferred; Equivalent experience within captive finance/banking industry may be considered
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Experience in Product Marketing, sale of complex solution packages
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of distributor business, finance programs to support sales, captive finance business
Understanding of credit products, services and underlying processes and policies to implement/maintain
Proven negotiation and selling skills
Proven interpersonal, collaboration and conflict resolution skills
Ability to understand and communicate market and competitor trends
