Sr. Manager Manufacturing Strategy

Kennametal is looking for Sr. Manager Manufacturing Strategy in the Infrastructure Operations team. This position develops strategies and business justification for operational improvements across the business in collaboration with business, technology, and manufacturing teams.
Key Job Responsibilities
Lead simplification and modernization initiatives for manufacturing to build robust project roadmaps
Balance regional/segment needs and global strategy in developing manufacturing strategy for the various businesses in infrastructure
Lead make/buy decisions through core/non-core and best value analysis
Lead footprint consolidation and optimization to support business objectives using a strategic manufacturing roadmap. Ensure robust business cases are in place
Partner with AME and technology to develop product specific manufacturing process technology roadmaps to support operational improvements. Ensure alignment of capital plan with business priorities.
Use data analytics to discover opportunities to improve operational effectiveness
Drive systemic and structural improvement across E2E Value Stream for Business Unit
New Product Introduction - Ensure alignment with global manufacturing strategy
Partner with program management office to utilize stage-gate process for project execution to ensure project commitments are managed and achieved
Leverage standardized processes and tools to ensure project management best practices are implemented
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent.
7 to 10 years' experience in a manufacturing organization
Strong, hands-on data analytics capabilities
Strong leader with the ability to influence and manage across a large geographically diverse organization
Understanding of financial metrics and processes impacted by global manufacturing performance
Effective blend of business, manufacturing, data analytics, financial and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to lead through influence at all levels.
Strong communicator, capable of clearly articulating strategy through tactics with all organizational levels.
