Since 1957, Penhall has been the premier provider of concrete services to the United States and Canada for a wide variety of industries. It all began with Leroy Penhall's realization of an opportunity during Anaheim, California's "Orange Grove Development Boom" of the 1950s. He purchased his first gas-powered diamond saw, which allowed him to carry out concrete work with accuracy and speed. Penhall has since grown to offer a comprehensive selection of concrete services, including scanning, cutting, sawing, breaking, and removal.
Position Description
Specific Role Responsibilities:
Assist exprienced operators with general labor duties
Learn to cut, saw,core drill and remove concrete
Inspect and maintain all company equipment - safe operation, cleanliness and general maintenance of vehicles, diamond blades, flat saws, core drills, wall saws, jackhammers and small tools.
Travel: Possible travel to other regional locations if necessary
Position Requirements
Safety oriented/safety conscious
Experience in labor roles, preferably in concrete, demolition, and/or other construction trades
Experience with demolition tools such as wall saws, core drills flat saws, handsaws, ring saws and/or compressor tools such as jackhammers a plus
Bobcat, backhoe or related equipment experience a plus
Ability to enter/track hours and daily notes using a tablet or phone app
Solid mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical skills
Self-motivation, a strong work ethic and willingness to work in challenging conditions (rain, cold, heat, etc.).
Be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screen
Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license and have a good driving history
Must have steel toe leather work boots
Must have relaible transportation
Able to lift and move 45lbs or more
