SUMMARY:



This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment buildings and utilities including ammonia compressors offal and Wastewater Department.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions


  • Ensure that all maintenance personnel are well trained on the most updated version of operating equipment as well as other maintenance skills


  • Provide a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs


  • Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify issues


  • Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders adequate and appropriate inventory of replacement parts


  • Make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems through analyzing data


  • Ensure that all maintenance personnel are properly trained equipped and motivated so maintenance programs and processes can be accomplished in a safe timely and efficient manner


  • Maintain a tracking system that assists in analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization maintenance cost PM compliance etc.


  • Ensure all safety health OSHA PSM and environmental policies and procedures are in compliance with company policy as well as local state and federal regulations


  • Ensure safety program is communicated and enforced


  • Monitor and administer purchasing and use of all parts and equipment materials and supplies utilized in the maintenance department


  • Ensure refrigeration system and wastewater systems are well maintained and meet all regulatory guidelines


  • Administer the maintenance budget and ensure the achievement of financial goals





REQUIREMENTS:




Education: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Experience
: 6 plus years maintenance experience preferred. 3 years or so of Supervisory experience preferred.



Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.



Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.



Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical refrigeration hydraulics or mechanical.



Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.



Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
