The Senior Data Engineer will help develop and implement strategic data initiatives. They will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, implementing technical solutions/algorithms, and developing and maintaining data pipelines.
Essential Functions
Develop and support data pipelines within a Cloud Data Platform, such as Databricks or Snowflake
Analyze data to identify statistically significant trends and provide insights to support decision-making
Develop and maintain reports to be used in strategic planning sessions
Continuously improve existing strategic planning tools by incorporating feedback from stakeholders and identifying areas for optimization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of new strategic initiatives
Manage multiple projects that support identified strategic initiatives
Education Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
Preferred Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
Experience Qualifications
Preferred 5+ years of experience in a related field
Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, R, or SQL
Experience with Databricks or Snowflake Cloud Data Platforms
Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau
Understanding of business financials and NPV analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Creative thinker that is open to working collaboratively with a team
