We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with deep expertise in implementing Oracle Cloud applications. As a key member of the executive team for our client, the CTO will lead their technology strategy and operations to ensure the scalability, performance, and innovation of their systems.
Position Overview:
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, development, and execution of our Oracle Cloud applications, existing systems and infrastructure. You will play a critical role in driving the successful implementation of Oracle Cloud solutions across the organization, ensuring optimal performance, integration, and alignment with business goals. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly Oracle Cloud, and a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise-wide projects. Additionally, you will manage and collaborate with implementation partners to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the technology strategy for Oracle Cloud applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of Oracle Cloud solutions.
Hire, manage and mentor a team to drive the successful delivery of IT projects.
Act as the subject matter expert on Oracle Cloud technologies, advising the company on best practices, performance optimization, and new features.
Evaluate and select third-party vendors, tools, and technologies to complement and enhance Oracle Cloud applications.
Oversee and manage relationships with Oracle Cloud implementation partners, ensuring that they deliver on time, within scope, and in alignment with business needs.
Collaborate with external implementation partners to ensure a smooth transition from project planning to execution, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and solutions where necessary.
Define and manage SLAs, KPIs, and expectations with implementation partners to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
Act as the primary point of contact for implementation partners, ensuring regular communication, progress tracking, and resolution of issues or roadblocks.
Conduct periodic performance reviews and audits of implementation partner activities, providing constructive feedback to improve performance and project outcomes.
Develop and implement cloud governance frameworks, security protocols, and compliance standards in collaboration with internal and external teams.
Ensure smooth integration of Oracle Cloud with existing cloud systems and manage data migration processes effectively.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and Oracle Cloud innovations, and lead efforts to adopt new solutions that drive operational excellence and business growth.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Oracle Cloud support teams, product managers, and partners to ensure continued success and timely issue resolution.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in IT leadership, with at least 4 years focused on implementing Oracle Cloud applications (e.g., Oracle ERP, HCM, SCM).
Proven track record of leading end-to-end implementations of Oracle Cloud solutions in large enterprises.
Strong experience in managing and overseeing relationships with Oracle Cloud implementation partners and third-party vendors.
Deep technical expertise in Oracle Cloud architecture, security, integrations, and application modules.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of cloud technologies, IT infrastructure, and data management best practices.
Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards.
Oracle Cloud certification(s) are highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing multi-vendor, multi-partner engagements, particularly in large-scale enterprise IT transformations.
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
Experience in other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Prior experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, or retail.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
