Immediate Need - 100% Remote -Automation Engineer

Innovative Automation Engineer - who is AI driven, proficient in SNOW ITOM and Datadog. Work along the DevOps and IT Operations team assist in improving performance, optimization, systems healing, noise, workflows, and identify risks and make recommendations for improvement.

Well spoken, proven experience, track record implementing end to end automation solutions in large -scale enterprise environments.

Multi Cloud environment experience.

Experienced with ITIL and Agile

Make recommendations and create best practices that align with the dept's goals.

In need of an Innovative Automation Engineer with deep expertise in AI-driven application development, self-healing systems, and IT operations automation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing advanced automation solutions that enhance the resilience and efficiency of IT ecosystems. Proficiency in ServiceNow ITOM and Datadog is essential, and knowledge of AppDynamics is highly desirable. This is a dynamic position offering opportunities to leverage the latest technologies in AI and observability platforms to create transformative IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Automation Development & OptimizationArchitect, implement, and maintain automated solutions to streamline IT operations and reduce manual workloads.
  • Leverage AI/ML technologies to design self-healing workflows capable of predicting, identifying, and resolving system anomalies without human intervention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation strategies across infrastructure, application, and cloud environments.
  • 2. AI and Self-Healing System ImplementationDevelop and deploy self-healing mechanisms to address recurring system issues, optimize incident management, and minimize downtime.
  • Use AI-driven applications to improve system observability, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by monitoring system health and performance, ensuring the implemented self-healing solutions remain effective and scalable.
  • 3. Monitoring, Observability, and Performance ManagementUtilize ServiceNow ITOM to enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management by automating incident resolution and system health monitoring.
  • Implement and customize Datadog to provide actionable insights into application performance, infrastructure utilization, and user experience.
  • Optimize monitoring and alerting solutions to reduce noise, prioritize critical events, and enable rapid resolution of issues.
  • 4. Integration and Tool EnhancementBuild and integrate automation workflows that connect various platforms, including ServiceNow ITOM, Datadog, and AppDynamics, to deliver end-to-end operational visibility and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, APIs, and plugins to enhance tool functionality and integration capabilities.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies that align with the organization's goals to continually advance the automation and observability landscape.
  • 5. Collaboration and Knowledge SharingPartner with engineering, DevOps, and IT operations teams to align automation initiatives with business goals.
  • Provide training and documentation to team members on new workflows, tools, and processes to ensure broad adoption and understanding.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on AI-driven automation and observability platforms, offering technical guidance and recommendations.

  • Required QualificationsExperience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role in IT operations.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow ITOM for IT operations automation and monitoring.
  • Advanced knowledge of Datadog for observability, performance monitoring, and custom metric development.
  • Experience with AI-driven applications and self-healing systems for IT operations.
  • Programming: Strong scripting and coding skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
  • Frameworks & Tools: Familiarity with AppDynamics and its use in application performance monitoring (highly desirable).
  • Methodologies: Understanding of ITIL, DevOps, and Agile practices.

  • Preferred QualificationsExperience working in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with automation tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Certification in ServiceNow ITOM or Datadog.
  • Proven track record of implementing end-to-end automation solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
