Tyto Athene seeks a Command and Control (C2) and Cyber Systems Operations Lead to manage IT and cyber operations for the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 program. Based in Doral, Florida, this role focuses on optimizing technical performance, addressing technical debt, and enhancing interoperability across the Enterprise Information Environment (EIE) to support USSOUTHCOM's mission. The C2 and Cyber Systems Operations Lead will oversee IT and cyber capabilities, addressing challenges from legacy systems and integrating modern technologies. This role emphasizes strategic planning, technical leadership, and collaboration to ensure operational readiness and alignment with USSOUTHCOM's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Manage IT and cyber operations across the SCITES 2 Task Order, focusing on COOP, system performance, and interoperability.
Develop strategies to remediate technical debt and modernize legacy technologies, improving performance and user experience.
Create IT blueprints to address capability gaps and align infrastructure with operational requirements.
Integrate and simplify disparate DoD networks and computing environments to enhance efficiency and interoperability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT operations with strategic and tactical goals.
Monitor and assess system performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
Prepare reports and briefings on technical debt remediation, integration activities, and operational outcomes.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and cyber operations, including COOP planning, C2 systems, and technical debt management.
Expertise in modernizing infrastructure and integrating complex networks.
Strong understanding of DoD standards and frameworks for IT and cyber systems.
Desired:
Master's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Systems Engineering.
Experience supporting command and control (C2) operations for combatant commands or similar organizations.
Knowledge of USSOUTHCOM's mission and operational objectives.
Familiarity with best practices for performance optimization and interoperability in defense environments.
