Major, Lindsey & Africa's Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim to Permanent Leasing Counsel.
Overview: Our seeks a skilled and experience commercial leasing attorney to join its team.
Company: Our client is a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on the acquisition and operation of single-tenant, industrial properties throughout the United States.
Experience: Five to ten years of commercial leasing experience acquired in a top law firm and/or well-respected in-house environment.
Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities Include:
Prepare, review, and negotiate leases, lease amendments and renewals, consents to assignment, tenant notice letters and other ancillary legal documents.
Review and interpret complex commercial leases and advise clients on rights and responsibilities related thereto.
Draft tenant notice letters, including but not limited to Notices of Default, Demand Letters, and Move-Out letters.
Manage outside counsel handling leases for the client to ensure timeliness, efficiency, and successful resolution of negotiating points consistent with the client's policies and risk tolerance.
Qualifications Include:
Excellent academic and professional credentials, including a J.D. degree from a well US law school, a baccalaureate degree, and admission to State Bar in good standing.
Minimum of five and maximum of 10 years of relevant experience with a top-tier national or regional law firm or well-respected in-house environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills; proficiency in common software applications, including Microsoft Excel; ability to use contracts management and database systems effectively.
