Annunciation Orthodox School (AOS) seeks an organized, experienced, and growth-oriented educational leader who is eager to support the school's mission as we develop the "hearts and minds" of our students. The successful candidate will be charged with facilitating the school's faculty growth program, organizing professional development, and collaborating with division heads on special projects. Reports to: Head of Middle School and Head of Early Childhood and Lower School
Status: Salaried/Exempt
Start Date:July 7, 2025
Work Schedule: Year-round, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM; additional time as needed for after-school meetings and events, which typically includes staying until 5:00 PM on Tuesdays.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Growth Coach Leadership Team and oversee the school's electronic records system for faculty growth (Folio)
Organize, implement, and communicate growth goal program guidelines
Design and implement faculty Celebrations of Learning that align to the school's growth program
Coach a cohort of faculty each year, in accordance with the school's faculty growth program
Assist with the creation and management of the faculty professional development budget
Facilitate ongoing professional learning experiences for teachers that allow for feedback and reflection
Create and run Gallup's Clifton Strengths workshops
Collaborate closely with the school's Academic Coordinator Team (Math, Humanities, Innovation, etc.) in service of supporting teachers on self-identified professional development goals
Coordinate smaller departments and facilitate vertical alignment across divisions
Connect teachers with current research and best practices to support classroom instruction
Facilitate team-building
Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary
Qualifications:
Actions and values that align with the AOS Mission
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum five years teaching experience; elementary and middle school teaching experience preferred
Knowledge of and interest in child development for students in preschool through 8th grade
Experience creating engaging learning environments for adult learners through delivery and design of professional learning opportunities
Experience leading groups of teachers through changes in a way that authentically captures everyone's voice and takes advantage of the expertise at the table
Knowledge of current research on educational best practices, curriculum trends, and educational technology
Training with Gallup's Clifton Strengths a plus; willingness to attend training if no prior experience
