The Project Controls Planner has a primary objective to support the engineering, procurement, construction and Commissioning (EPCmV) group in the planning, and execution of large scale CAPEX projects by providing management with critical, decision-making information that ensures projects deliver on time. This includes advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation and analysis that may involve a major project or several smaller projects.
Responsibilities:
Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6), Excel, PowerPoint and Pertmaster.
Implement Project Planning/Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations.
Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole.
Analyse deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions.
Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations.
Prepare resourcing plans for the overall and individual project phases, identifying any excessive peak numbers and making recommendations for peak levelling.
Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in CAPEX projects with roles in planning/scheduling: preferably in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries.
Significant experience in schedule set up, baselining , monitoring and controlling on large scale projects across the all phased of EPCmV.
Advanced MS Excel.
Software systems and packages including Primavera P6
