This role oversees sourcing for all Capucine De Wulf products throughout the entire development cycle including market research, managing a product from concept through production arrival and QC at the distribution center. This position reports to the Director of Design and Product Development and manages the new product development of several key global vendors and organizes deadlines to ensure all developmental milestones are fulfilled, managing and escalating challenges with vendors to management as needed. This person finds great joy working with the design team, to lead efforts in innovations and creations of new and upcoming Capucine De Wulf product lines in a face-paced, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:
Manage Product Development for all Capucine De Wulf categories and packaging.
Conducts market research and trends to identify key products for new launches.
Communicates all development stage comments and direction to vendors in coordination with the design team.
Manage and update all product information including components and packaging, to ensure all data is correct, regularly confirming that vendors are on track to deliver samples within Capucine DeWulf timeline.
Ensure new vendors are set up properly in system and sample invoices are given to accounts payable for payment.
Maintain Product Development Sheet with all up-to-date product updates, deliverables, product information and market competition.
Creates and updates visual pictogram to show Seasonal Launch.
Owns communication of QC inspections, to include product recalls, advisement of vendor level actions and necessary coordination with Customer Care, Marketing and Operations.
Assists in collateral needs for "newness", including but not limited to special packaging, gift boxing, care cards, labels, etc.
Actively participates in conceptual development of product lines (innovates ideas and concepts), provides ongoing assistant and recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to the line and new concepts.
Assists in editing and approval of final assortment, including decision making process on costing, counter sourcing raw materials.
Assign and manage sample allocation among tradeshows, photoshoots, reps, retailers, and press department needs.
Record and catalogue all proto approvals and maintain sample and quality reference library.
Present any first costs or margin challenges to management for resolution.
Organizes all details needed for item set-up and passes to planning and forecasting team for execution.
Provide all necessary product details to responsible team for seasonal product upload.
Communicate all TOP comments to vendors.
Brainstorm negotiation tactics for below-margin or high MOQ products based on historical costs and volume.
Collaborates with team to identify continuous improvement objectives and implements directives.
Supports teamwork and continuous improvement through performing other related duties as assigned.
Proofread catalogs to confirm correct product information and styles are included.
Open sample boxes and able to lift 40lbs.
Requirements:
Art, Design, or Product Management education preferred.
4 or more years working in product development with a focus on jewelry.
Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing.
Working knowledge of sample tariffs and importing processes for sample shipments.
Strong sense of commitment and responsibility for final product.
