We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Refrigeration Service Manager to lead a team of 7 field refrigeration technicians in the Houston area. In this role, you will provide expert guidance and oversight to technicians responsible for servicing and repairing commercial refrigeration systems across various client sites. As a Service Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of commercial refrigeration systems and a proven ability to manage and develop a team of technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
Lead and manage a team of 7 field refrigeration technicians, providing daily support, guidance, and mentorship.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide training to improve technical skills and service quality.
Assign and schedule jobs for technicians, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely completion of tasks.
Field Support & Technical Expertise:
Offer hands-on troubleshooting and technical guidance to technicians in the field, ensuring proper diagnosis and repair of commercial refrigeration systems.
Stay up to date with industry standards, new technologies, and best practices to provide expert advice and solutions to field issues.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, local codes, and company policies.
Customer Interaction:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or service issues.
Collaborate with clients to schedule service visits, communicate timelines, and manage expectations effectively.
Performance & Reporting:
Monitor the performance of technicians, track key metrics, and report on productivity, service completion rates, and other relevant KPIs.
Work closely with the management team to address performance issues, optimize processes, and ensure adherence to company goals.
Inventory & Equipment Management:
Ensure technicians have access to the necessary tools and parts to perform their jobs efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock of critical refrigeration components.
Desired Traits:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration servicing and repair.
At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role, overseeing a team of technicians.
Compensation: $85,000 to $140,000 per year annual salary.
