Purchasing Coordinator - 100% Onsite in Medley, FL
Full-time/Direct-hire
$18 to $27/hr.
Responsibilities:
Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on inventory stacking levels
Work with sales team to identify market pricing trends and customer needs
Work with vendors and suppliers to follow up on orders and requests
Prepare POS materials such as flyers, sample packs, information sheets, etc.
Prepare weekly general meeting topics and discussion points; coordinate ; weekly sample tasting events with vendors and sales associates.
Negotiate offers, pricing, and minimum order quantities (MOQs)with vendors
Perform data entry duty and paperwork processing as needed
Process B/L, receipts, and invoices to assure the payment is made on time
Coordinate with warehouse and vendors to follow up short shipment and back orders; report product discrepancies or damages to vendors in a timely manner for credits
Check inventory when the numbers are inconsistent with the inventory numbers reported by warehouse
Coordinate with AP to track invoices to assure the payment was made on time
Coordinate with AR to assure vendor credits are received in a timely manner
Set up New Vendors, stock numbers for new items in the system; maintain and update their information in a timely manner
Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit in an office setting for the majority of the day • Ability to type for extended periods throughout the day • Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally • Working Conditions:
o Noise Level: Normal to loud while in the office
Other Requirements: • Business level English Required - Read/write/speak/listen • Basic level Japanese preferred- Read/write/speak/listen • Maintain a positive attitude • Ability to work independently and as a team • Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in business preferred • 1+ years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills: • Basic mathematical knowledge - markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc. • Problem solving skills • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency • Communication and interpersonal skills • Exceptional organization and time management skills • Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes preferred
