Position Summary:

A regional CPA firm is seeking an experienced M&A Tax Senior Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions, lead client engagements, and contribute to the growth of the firm's M&A Tax practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a passion for advising clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage M&A Tax engagements, including due diligence, structuring, and post-transaction planning.
  • Advise clients on the tax implications of complex transactions, such as corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop innovative tax strategies and solutions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and deliver proactive advisory services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional support and services.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM is preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in M&A Tax / Transaction Tax, preferably from a large public accounting firm.
  • Strong technical expertise in federal tax, partnerships, and corporate tax matters related to transactions.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage client engagements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
