Position Summary:
A regional CPA firm is seeking an experienced M&A Tax Senior Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions, lead client engagements, and contribute to the growth of the firm's M&A Tax practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a passion for advising clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage M&A Tax engagements, including due diligence, structuring, and post-transaction planning.
Advise clients on the tax implications of complex transactions, such as corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop innovative tax strategies and solutions.
Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering professional growth and development.
Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and deliver proactive advisory services.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional support and services.
Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM is preferred.
CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
7+ years of experience in M&A Tax / Transaction Tax, preferably from a large public accounting firm.
Strong technical expertise in federal tax, partnerships, and corporate tax matters related to transactions.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage client engagements.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
