Job Description:

Carrie Moore Interior Design is looking for a highly organized and proactive Studio Manager to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly. This individual will ensure the office is well-organized, manage administrative tasks, and provide support to our design team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Maintain and organize materials library, ensuring samples are up-to-date and easily accessible for the design team.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, vendors, and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional presence.
  • Assist with project management by tracking timelines, budgets, and client communication.
  • Assist designers by obtaining estimates, samples, and quotes for various projects.
  • Support designers by preparing proposals for various projects.
  • Assist procurement team by placing, processing, and tracking vendor orders for various projects, including receiving, inspecting and storing of FF&E.
  • Support designers through performing miscellaneous design assistant duties.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in office management, administrative support, or a related role (experience in design or creative industries is a plus).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe) and familiarity with design studio management software is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in client interactions.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to work in-person at the Durham studio Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm EDT.
