CFD Research is seeking a driven Project Scheduler to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient execution of multiple programs by creating, maintaining, and updating project schedules as well as front end information on the status of these programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing & Monitoring Project Schedules:
Create detailed project schedules using scheduling software (Microsoft Project/Excel)
Assist the program managers in breaking down projects into manageable tasks and define task dependencies and timelines
Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure adherence to the schedule
Update the schedule regularly to reflect changes in project scope, resources, and timelines
Resource Management:
Coordinate with program managers, teams, and other stakeholders to allocate resources appropriately.
Assist the program managers with analyzing the schedule for potential risks and delays.
Proactively identify and suggest solutions for potential scheduling issues to prevent project delays.
Reporting and Communication:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project scope, objectives, and constraints.
Attend program meetings and take notes to be disseminated to the program stakeholders
Update Program front end information in Confluence including tasking, risk items as instructed by the program manager, and financials
Basic Qualifications:
U.S Citizenship is required
Associates Degree or Military Relevant Years of Experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred Bachelors in appropriate fields such as business, engineering, or project management
At least 3 years of experience in scheduling
Familiar or proficient with Confluence preferred
Experience taking notes during meetings and updated schedules/sending out information after is required
Skills include MS Suite including Word, Excel, Project
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Confluence proficiency is preferred
Experience or understanding of earned value, ETC, and other program analysis methods is preferred.
Location:This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.
