We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer with experience in Workday's Supply Chain module to join a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic team of procurement professionals. This role involves managing purchasing activities, reallocating inventory to cost centers, and ensuring seamless inventory management across departments.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in purchasing, cost allocation, and inventory oversight, with proficiency in Workday's Supply Chain module as a key requirement.
Location: Hybrid out of Greenbrae, CA, or Fully Remote (California residents only)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Full-Time, Temporary (3-6 months with potential for hire)
Pre-Hire Requirements: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening (including cannabis)
Workday Buyer Responsibilities:
Utilize Workday's Supply Chain module to manage purchasing activities, ensuring requisitions are accurate and necessary.
Collaborate with departments to allocate inventory appropriately and meet organizational needs.
Serve as a liaison between vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address supply issues.
Oversee product standards, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and data within the Workday Supply Chain system.
Expedite back-ordered items and manage inventory backlogs effectively.
Workday Buyer Qualifications:
Proficiency in Workday's Supply Chain module is required.
Minimum of 2-3 years of purchasing or materials management experience.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
