This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Non-Profit Charities Programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all program activities are carried out in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Diocese and Non-Profit Charities. Monitor the content of all programs to ensure alignment with the agency mission, vision, and strategic plan. Secure input and cooperation of the Administration Office and Program Director/Manger(s) and work closely with the Executive Director in preparing all proposals affecting the programs.
Evaluate the delivery of services, including service quality and client outcomes, and take corrective action and/or make recommendations to the Executive Director for changes as appropriate. Work closely with Executive Director and Program Director/Mangers(s) in coordinating the efforts of Performance Quality and outcomes.
Facilitate good working relations with all staff members. Assess the functions within programs that can be more effectively and efficiently managed. Provide input into the development of Non Profit Charities strategic plan and facilitate implementation.
With the support and guidance of the Executive Director and Human Resource Director facilitate all personnel matters. Screen and recommend prospective candidates for employment. Formally evaluate Program Director/Manager(s) performance of duties.
Work closely with the Administrative Office to promote consistent application of policies across the agency, introduce and provide feedback on new ideas, share best- practices, and offer support and assistance to the Administrative Office. Complete other duties as assigned.
Ensure ongoing agency compliance with licensing entities, the timely completion of compliance applications, coordination of annual inspections and audits and timely corrective plans.
Coordinate the efficient utilization of the buildings and facilities occupied by the agency programs via ongoing communication with Program Director/Manger(s), Executive Director, landlords and diocesan buildings and properties department.
Collaborate with the finance department, development department and Program Director/Manager(s) to ensure adequate funding for programs.
Manage the competing needs of multiple programs across the Diocese, prioritizing program needs. Continued assessment of current programs and assisting with the development of new programs.
Supervises others: Program Directors / Managers of agency programs.

Working Conditions:
This is an exempt position which may require working more than the traditional hours to complete job tasks. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with a half hour unpaid lunch. Travel throughout the Diocese of Harrisburg is required. Ensure staffing of agency programs, to include filling in for open shifts when needed.
Education: Master's degree preferred in Social Work, Business Management, Public Administration or another related field.
Experience: Seven to Ten years of Administrative/Supervisory experience required. Work overseeing multiple programs. Human Services experience preferred.
