Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Associate Attorney to join our growing law firm specializing in Probate and Estate Planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Texas law and a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of estate planning, probate administration, and related matters.This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to meaningful client outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in probate matters, including independent administration, dependent administration, and probate litigation.Advise and assist clients in creating comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents.Draft, review, and revise legal documents with precision and attention to detail.Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes to Texas Estates Code and related laws.Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and other stakeholders, ensuring excellent client service and case management.Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and resolve complex legal issues.Manage case files, including maintaining accurate and organized documentation.Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings as needed.Oversee paralegals and legal assistants to prioritize tasks to minimize time-on-desk.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing.25 years of experience in probate, estate planning, or a related field (new attorneys with relevant internships or clerkships will also be considered).Strong knowledge of the Texas Estates Code and estate planning principles.Exceptional drafting and legal research skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Preferred SkillsExperience in fiduciary litigation or handling contested probate cases.Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.Familiarity with legal case management software (e.g., Clio).Knowledge of tax considerations in estate planning.Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Performance-based bonuses.Benefits (After 90-Day Probation Period):PTOBusiness and Professional Development Workshops and TrainingHealth InsuranceDirect DepositFree On-Site Parking (reserved parking space depending on availability)Merit-based Bonuses for Individual or Firm-Wide AchievementsFlexible Work Arrangements with Options for Hybrid or Remote SchedulesContinuing Legal Education (CLE)Attendance at legal conferences, seminars, and networking eventsTeam Building ActivitiesDocuBank Membership for 24/7 Emergency Access to Important DocumentsAccess to the latest legal research tools and softwareOn-Site Walking Trails and Private PavilionOpportunity for AdvancementGenerous vacation, sick leave, and personal daysPeriodic On-Site Food TrucksHiring ProcessCandidates will be selected for a 30-minute Zoom interview.
