Position Summary This position supports operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment. As a team they work to minimize manufacturing machine downtime using corrective and preventive maintenance. THIS IS A 3rd SHIFT POSITION. Position Responsibilities
Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment.
Installs, maintains, and repairs facility related equipment.
Completes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.
Ability to safely troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs.
Operates/maintains machine shop equipment, hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.
Documents completed repairs.
Fabricates, rebuilds, designs, and installs machine parts.
Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including piping.
Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.
Installation and troubleshooting of electrical motors and controls.
Constructs electrical control panels from various schematics.
Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.
Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments.
Follows safe working practices and procedures.
General facility maintenance and repairs as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
HSD/GED or relevant experience.
1-2 years prior maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use and understand various precision measuring tools
Ability to read and understand blue prints and schematics
Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Safe operation of a variety of shop equipment, such as, but not limited to: welding, mills lathes, metal saws, surface grinders
Ability to rebuild equipment to OEM specifications
Ability to be fork lift certified
Work independently
Ability to enter required information into computer system
