About the Role


Uber Freight is seeking a Sr. Sales Operations Associate- Sales Finance to join our rapidly growing Sales Operations team. Our priority is to help our customer-facing sales team sell more effectively and efficiently through data, analytics and process improvement.

You will work with leadership to drive and implement our ongoing financial positioning and investment areas across the sales organization. The ideal candidate will be action-oriented, approach tasks with an analytical and strategic mindset, have the enthusiasm to tackle any challenge and a track record of results.


About the Team


Sales operations at Uber Freight helps our customer-facing sales team sell more effectively and efficiently through data, analytics and process improvement. We work with leadership to drive and implement our sales strategy to make Uber Freight easier to sell for and easier to buy from.


What You'll Do

  • Responsible for analyzing Uber Freight's strategic positioning and financial performance including sales activities, pricing, and growth, across all of our Sales teams
  • Create executive and board level collateral--you will be responsible for partnering with Sales and Finance leadership to build storyline and analytics to track company performance, flag opportunities/risks and create cohesive narrative for internal teams, board, executive leadership, and investors via regular decks and reporting
  • You will be the Sales owner of the internal Global Monthly Business Review, responsible for building reporting and decks to track company performance to goal across key priority areas, with a key focus on turning data into actionable insights and driving accountability to results.
  • Sales partner to Finance: Develop reporting to summarize and provide recommendations on Uber Freight's commercial investment strategy & ROI across sales teams. Support the annual planning process, representing the sales organization.
  • In partnership with Sales Leadership, set, maintain and drive accountability to Sales OKRs and provide company-wide reporting
  • Effectively communicate analysis results to business leaders and formulate proposals for go forward recommendations based on findings
  • Perform ad hoc reports and analysis as frequently requested by executive team
  • Think strategically and then execute - the analysis and insights we build aid in decision making and strategy (e.g. using customer LTV/CAC to influence capital allocation) - we operationalize our insight
  • Gather data using SQL and other data-mining techniques and analyze results



Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Corporate finance/ operational FP&A, Consulting, Investment Banking, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy and Planning at either a high-growth startup or a large, well-established company
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field
  • Proficiency with Excel ,Salesforce, and Tableau or relevant visualization tool, Google Slides and/or PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have programming language experience such as R or Python
  • You have sales operations experience at a high-growth tech company
  • MBA, CFA or CPA preferred

  • Elite Excel skills - your models are efficient, scalable, and intuitive - you can handle complexity but strive for simplicity
  • Experience in data mining and analysis, SQL required
  • Proven problem solving ability with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with experience working with and presenting to senior management and storytelling with data
  • An affinity to talking with numbers; inherent ability to quantify and support conclusions with data.
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail; able to execute and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a lean, fast-paced organization
  • Strong forecasting skills/experience
  • Able to develop strong and productive relationships across peer organizations that foster collaboration and best practice sharing
  • Proven problem solving ability with experience providing collecting, organizing and analyzing data to provide practical business insights from large, complex data sets to enhance salesforce productivity and efficiency
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively facilitate and aim to meeting closure
  • Proven project management experience within a sales operations role or similar executive reporting function
  • Strong desire to take initiative. Thrive on change and comfortable with ambiguity
  • A positive outlook and a roll-up-your-sleeve attitude

For California based roles: The salary range for this role is $124,500.00 per year - $179,100.00 per year

For Colorado based roles: The salary range for this role is $103,750.00 per year - $149,250.00 per year

For Washington based roles: The salary range for this role is $114,125.00 per year - $164,175.00 per year
