To support our ongoing growth and the increasing complexity of our digital operations, we are looking to hire an experienced GCP/AWS Cloud Manager. Reporting to the Associate Director, IT Cloud Ops, the Manager of Cloud Ops will be responsible for IT Cloud Operations. This pivotal role will focus on managing and optimizing our use of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and deep technical expertise to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud environments. This position requires a blend of technical acumen, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to managing cloud resources, aiming to enhance our operational efficiency and drive innovation within the organization.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead the configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux-based systems.
Implement security best practices, including system hardening, firewall configurations, and access controls within both Windows and Linux servers.
Architect and manage scalable and secure solutions within GCP, AWS and Azure
Ensure optimal configuration and monitoring of GCP, AWS and Azure resources to support high availability and disaster recovery.
Work closely with other department leaders to facilitate the integration of cloud solutions with existing systems and workflows.
Implement and manage compliance measures across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-prem systems to meet regulatory requirements.
Provide technical leadership and project management for cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth and efficient transition from on-premise to cloud-based systems.
Lead the implementation of security measures across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments, including encryption, identity management, and network security.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform scripts to automate the creation and management of cloud resources in development, staging, and production environments.
Implement Terraform modules to standardize and streamline infrastructure as code practices.
Develop advanced automation solutions using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Advise and implement cost-saving strategies to ensure a balance between performance, scalability, and budget constraints
Administer and troubleshoot OKTA Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, including user provisioning, SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management.
Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot MySQL and MSSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing to ensure optimal MySQL and MSSQL performance at scale.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
At least 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud management, with a minimum of 5 years focused specifically on GCP and AWS.
5+ years of experience as an AWS Architect, with strong proficiency in AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, CloudFormation, etc.)
Proven managerial experience, leading cloud teams in a dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of network architecture and data storage solutions.
Extensive experience with cloud services management, cost optimization, and IT security.
Proven expertise in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Proficient with Terraform, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native technologies.
Certifications in GCP and AWS are highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Salary Range
$111,000 - $156,133 a year
