Summary:
The Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and under the leadership of Dr. Renier Brentjens, is seeking a Clinical Research Investigator to fill a tenure-track position in the Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. This is an open rank, position at the assistant, associate or full professor level depending on qualifications.
The Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is a leader in transplant and cellular therapies, personalized medicine, cancer vaccines, and immunotherapy and offers many collaborative opportunities in clinical and basic research. Roswell Park is a US News and World Report Best Hospital as well as a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and The BMT CTN Clinical Trials Consortium. The Transplant and Cellular Therapy has been continuously FACT accredited,
The successful candidate will be board certified or eligible in hematology and/or medical oncology and be eligible for a New York State Medical License. Expertise in the clinical care of transplant and cellular therapy patients is expected. These include patients receiving allogeneic and autologous hematopoietic cell transplant and patients receiving commercial and protocol immune effector cell therapy. It is anticipated the successful candidate will establish a clinical research effort utilizing the multiple resources available at Roswell Park. These include a robust clinical trials office as well as cancer center support grant core programs in immunology, cell stress biology, genetics and genomics, population sciences and developmental therapeutics
Salary range is $195,000 - $478,694 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
License or Certification Requirement
1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
