The strategist acts as a high-level Subject Matter Expert (SME) who bridges technical knowledge with strategic planning and stakeholder collaboration. The goal is to advance Core4ce's research, development, and innovation efforts while solving technical challenges in alignment with AFRL’s mission.
Responsibilities
Provide in-depth knowledge of AFRL’s mission and operations.
Identify research and development (R&D) efforts that align with AFRL’s strategic priorities.
Guide technical teams in R&D project planning, execution, and evaluation.
Develop strategies, roadmaps, and proposals to address gaps in capabilities.
Act as a liaison among Azimuth, AFRL, academia, industry partners, and government agencies.
Deliver findings and recommendations through presentations and reports to senior leaders.
Encourage knowledge-sharing and mentorship within the team.
Requirements
At least 15 years of relevant experience, particularly related to AFRL.
Comprehensive understanding of AFRL’s mission, structure, and priorities.
Ability to obtain and maintain aSecret clearance.
Preferred
Experience in government labs, the defense industry, or military research.
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes and technology transition methods.
Leadership, communication, and analytical expertise.
