Summary
Provide vascular testing and ABI services to patients and lead accreditation (ICAVL) efforts of the department.
Duties
• Use/s the Mass General Brigham values to govern decisions, actions and behaviors. • Perform vascular and ABI studies as directed by clinicians
• Identify anatomical structures and abnormal blood flow patterns
• Communicate findings to physicians and other members of the healthcare team
• Provide explanation and guidance as appropriate to patients and caregivers
• Observe all protocols and documentation as directed by cardiologists and ICAVL
• Maintain all vascular and ABI equipment, including calibration. Keep exam rooms free of clutter. Maintain all cleaning and sanitation of supplies
• Attend all meetings as requested
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HPI as required
• Manage QI/QA program as needed to maintain ICAVL accreditation
• Frequent review of patient schedules, opening additional time slots as needed to accommodate patient volume
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
• Minimum of 2 years as a RVT sonographer
• CPR certified

• Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization
• Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
• Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal
• Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and follow rules/regulations/policies surrounding PHI, HIPPA, etc.
